Perennial Plant Project
Our Goal
By planting native perennials from the Greenbelt Native Plant Center, the goal of this project is to decrease soil compaction, increase water infiltration, improve soil nutrient content, and attract pollinators to NYC street tree beds.
Project Map
Coordinating with Greening Greenpoint, NYC Parks has chosen 13 tree bed sites in Greenpoint. Due to the variety of urban land and residential locations, these sites are spread throughout the neighborhood.

Sign
If you see this sign in a tree bed near you, your address was chosen for our pilot program! Please feel free to help this project along by watering the perennials and removing litter that may gather within the tree bed.
