Greenpoint's Environmental History: A walking tour, lecture and community scanning event

Join Greening Greenpoint, Brooklyn Public Library, and local historian Geoff Cobb for an environmental history of Greenpoint! 

We’ll begin with the walking tour at the corner of Franklin and Calyer St. at 11 AM. The walk will end at Bushwick Inlet Park (86 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11249) North 9th street entrance, around 12 PM and will be followed by a presentation by Mr. Cobb and scanning event with Brooklyn Public Library.

Brooklyn Public Library’s Greenpoint Oral History and Community Scanning Project is dedicated to documenting and preserving the environmental history of Greenpoint, and you can help by contributing an item to the project. BPL will scan items such as documents, photographs, ephemera and mementos. We’re also happy to have digital items such as JPGs, DOCs and PDFs.
